Bradley Stavinoha
Bradley Stavinoha is a distinguished public servant, business leader, and community advocate currently serving as District V Director. A native of Needville, Mr. Stavinoha developed strong agricultural roots cultivating cotton and hay during his youth before graduating from Needville High School.
Military Service & Education
Mr. Stavinoha demonstrated his commitment to service by enlisting in the Texas National Guard at age 17. He completed basic training prior to his senior year of high school, followed by Advanced Individual Training as a power generator mechanic before transitioning to an M1A1 tank specialist. Throughout his nine-year military career, he achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant while serving under the command of Congressman Troy Nehls.
His academic credentials include coursework at Wharton County Junior College and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science with a minor in Chemistry from Texas State University. Mr. Stavinoha’s professional experience spans 15 years in industrial sales before establishing his independent insurance agency in 1999, which he has successfully expanded over the past two decades. He has also obtained his Series 65 certification as a financial advisor.
Leadership & Community Engagement
Mr. Stavinoha has held numerous leadership positions within the American Legion, including Post 350 Commander, Adjutant, Financial Officer, District Adjutant, and Zone Commander. His dedication to continued professional development led him to complete the Legion College in 2002. He currently serves as the 9th District Commander.
His civic involvement extends to multiple organizations:
- Rotary Club: Assistant Governor, Membership Chair, and Gumbo Fundraiser Chair
- President of the Needville Chamber of Commerce
- Active member of the Knights of Columbus and Czech Heritage Society
- Fort Bend Historical Society Committee member
- Needville ISD Advisory Board member
Professional Development & Recognition
Mr. Stavinoha has invested significantly in leadership development, completing prestigious programs including:
- Rice University’s Leadership for Nonprofits program (2005)
- C.T. Bauer College of Business leadership course at the University of Houston (2020)
- Fort Bend Leadership program (2002)
His contributions have been recognized with the Needville Citizen of the Year award (2022) and Fort Bend’s Hometown Hero designation (2021).
SPJST Service
Since 2016, Mr. Stavinoha has served on the SPJST executive board, succeeding his mentor Larry Pflughaupt. He currently serves as Lodge 81 Treasurer and participates in several lodge committees. His family legacy with the organization dates back to his great-great-grandfather, Ondrej Kunetka, who helped establish Fayetteville Lodge 1.
Personal Life
Mr. Stavinoha resides in Needville with his wife Cecilia and their son Maxx, a sophomore at Needville High School. Their two daughters are recent Texas A&M University graduates. He is the proprietor of a successful insurance agency in Needville with six employees.
